ENTER THE GAME

You will join the Data Analytics team, part of a larger Data team which also includes Data Science, Data Product Management and Product Analytics teams. The Analytics team mission is to grow the business by identifying critical insights and high value opportunities. You'll integrate a fast growing team of +40 passionate individuals tackling challenges of all sorts: from scaling marketing campaign analytics to building complex customer segmentations to predicting the outcome of the next football game

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC

In a global landscape where identity theft is on the rise, Betclic is dedicated to reinforcing its defenses, enhancing account and identity management for its customers, and optimizing its strategy to fight identity fraud.

You will join the newly-established Identity Analytics team whose role is to provide key business insights to the Identity product team, hence ensuring the definition and the implementation of a best-in-class account & identity management strategy for our customers. The Identity team missions revolves around the 3 following workstreams: (i) identity verification, (ii) user authentication and (iii) account management

Your mission will be :

  • Partner with product directors and business leaders to gain a deep understanding of their current and upcoming challenges
  • Deliver insightful analysis with convincing and actionable recommendations that will drive meaningful product improvements and tangible impact on our activity
  • Identify high value added opportunities to unlock business potential, and hence contribute to future roadmaps definition
  • Develop decision making tools in a privacy-first environment to support data-driven strategic initiatives

The Identity Analytics team having been recently created, you will be in charge of mentoring 2 Data Analysts and handling interactions with business stakeholders alongside with the Identity Data Product Owner. As such, this is a role involving close interactions with business executives and departmental heads.

Your mission will be :

  • Partner with product directors and business leaders to deeply understand their challenges and help them drive their activity
  • Deliver insightful analysis with convincing and actionable recommendations that will impact the product quickly
  • Identify high value added opportunities to unlock business potential
  • Develop decision making tools in a privacy first environment
  • Mentor & help up-skill the Data Analysts of the team, providing hands-on technical, analytical and business guidance
  • Ensure high quality of team’s insights and output, starting with yours

Some examples of recent analysis:

  • How to improve user login journey and remove potential frictions?
  • How to design, deploy & evaluate an in-house OCR solution?
  • How to secure authentication using various verification methods?

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm!

This job is for you if:

  • You have a master degree in statistics / data analytics
  • You have at least 4 years of Data Analytics experience during which you have provided relevant, actionable data-based recommendations
  • You are "business minded" - you are able to make actionable and impactful recommendations
  • You have a good analytical mindset, are rigorous, and synthetical
  • You have great communication and presentation skills
  • You are proficient in SQL & Python
  • You are familiar with at least one Data visualization tool
  • You are proactive, and want to grow and keep learning
  • You are able to manage projects on your own, and already experienced mentoring other data analysts and / or trainee
  • You are agile and able to adapt to a fast pace environment

Bonus:

  • You know a programming language
  • You are aware of Git & versioning concepts

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

    • If your application is selected, you will be contacted by Elodie to complete an online technical test, followed by a 30-minute HR pre-qualification
    • Next, you will have a technical interview via video call, covering SQL, Python, statistics, probability, analytics, and business sense
    • You will then have one week to complete an analytical Use Case and an AssessFirst test (personality, motivations, and reasoning)
    • After that, you will visit us in our offices to present your Use Case and meet Xavier - Senior Data Analytics Manager (your future manager), Iouri – Chief Data Officer, and a business stakeholder
    • During your visit to Bordeaux, you will also have a final HR interview, including a debrief on your AssessFirst test

    In order to provide an optimal applicant experience, the overall hiring process at Betclic lasts 4 to 6 weeks.
