We are looking for an aspiring industry professional to be part of our growing sportsbook department in Malta. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of sports enthusiasm, trading experience and have an analytical mind with interest/experience in coding, development and project management.

YOUR ROLE AT BETCLIC

In this context, your duties are:

  • Provide first line of support for trading tools, systems, and technical issues.
  • Investigation and understanding of issues and bugs.
  • Defining appropriate prioritisation of topics dependent on trading needs
  • Ensure trading team can perform within optimal parameters with regards to platforms and providers
  • Liaise with Trading Management to maintain and analyse Trading Operations requirements.
  • Communicate clearly with product & development teams and provide comprehensive user stories.
  • Compile and maintain an in-depth understanding of Trading activities with regards to P&L performance, product offering, pricing accuracy, traders’ knowledge, and skill set.
  • Analysing and interpreting data to deduce meaningful conclusions and produce informative and accessible presentations.
  • Create and maintain release notes, user guides and other documentation for internal customers.
  • Support quantitative modelling teams, including during planning and testing phase.
  • Test and monitor new features to ensure correct utilisation.
  • Monitor and identify potential actions based on industry trends and especially competitor behaviour in our key markets.
  • Compile and maintain up-to-date knowledge base with regards to Trading Compliance within all regulatory frameworks; provide and update Trading team and other stakeholders with relevant compliance related information.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

This job is for you if:

  • You are being fluent in both, spoken and written English; excellent communication skills. Fluent in French is a plus.
  • You have either working experience or a degree from one of the STEM fields.
  • You have a sound knowledge of MS Office programs - particularly Excel.
  • You are organised and competent at multi-tasking.
  • You are abble to challenge ideas and approaches.
  • You have a high attention to detail and the ability to think clearly, methodically, and logically especially under pressure.
  • You are able to work in a team or act alone when required.

What will benefit you (but not required):

  • At least 2 years’ experience in either sports trading or development.
  • Understanding technical side of trading and trading platforms.
  • Atlassian/JIRA/Confluence familiarity.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Being able to plan, manage and host meetings.
  • Experience in sports betting modelling.
  • Understanding of sports betting compliance & regulation.
  • Beneficial additional languages: French.
  • Experience in communicating with developers or product owners.
